Sunbird/Hummingbird in the Philippines

By on October 23, 2021

The stay at home orders due to pandemic gave me the opportunity to reconnect with nature and wildlife. I began seeing species of birds that I’ve never seen before. This month, I began to notice the presence of hummingbirds around, with rain on and off, sometimes, showers are much more scattered, I was surprised to see them eating blossoms and performed the backward upside down position and hovered overhead.

Just like other pollinators which is fairly the same way as the bees and butterflies,

Hummingbirds enjoy nectar for the same reasons. The abundance of birds and other pollinators in our backyard is a source of great joy for me.

Little hummingbirds are really adorable! Hummingbirds are unique among birds in that they are able to both fly forward and backward.

When circumstances calls for photography, I’d hate to waste the chance to obtain some decent images with a relatively unposed subject. It takes a lot of patience to wait for the ideal moment and prefocus my camera on the branch where the hummingbird is likely to land, but by watching the birds I am able to easily have a good notion of where to stand and when to wait for the birds to move position in order to get a more natural appearance.

Hummingbirds are notoriously challenging to photograph due to their quick flight and small stature. Whenever I move, this bird takes off off the branch and flies a few feet away, but it always comes back after I calm down. I think the bird realized I was just attempting to shoot it and relaxed a bit.

The birds can always count on these blooms to provide for them. I really really wish these hummingbirds would return so I could take more stunning photographs of them.

Stunning Flower Fields in Full Bloom Chiang Mai

By on October 5, 2021

Muangkaen, situated in Chiang Mai, is rapidly emerging as one of Thailand’s most sought-after tourist spots. The Mungkaen Flower Fields encompass an expansive area adorned with vibrant cosmos flowers, creating a breathtaking landscape filled with delightful blooms. This garden has been meticulously designed for enjoyment and sightseeing. Chiang Mai, a mountainous city in northern Thailand, is renowned for its temperate climate and is particularly famous for its stunning ancient temples and ethnic villages, both traditional and indigenous. The region is also dotted with beautiful flower fields, making it an exceptional destination due to its remarkable attractions and pleasant weather.

After an enjoyable three-day stay in Bangkok, I journeyed north to Chiang Mai with my family, where we spent a day exploring the flower fields in Muangkaen. The holiday season attracts many travelers, and we all relished our time together in Thailand, a favored vacation spot. I had not anticipated that traveling with family and creating shared memories would become such a vital aspect of my life. We visited three of the most exquisite flower fields, which offered a delightful outdoor experience that celebrated the simple joys of life. In that place, beauty transcended the flowers, and I was thoroughly captivated.

Those who are passionate about flowers should not miss a trip to Chiang Mai without seeing the stunning Muangkaen fields graceful blooms in abundance the majority of which range from bright pink to white and fuchsia. It should come as no surprise that tourists always start their sightseeing here, just like we did.

Muangkaen Flower Fields

We reached one of the most beautiful flower fields in Chiang Mai early in the morning, yet a number of tourists were already present. As I snapped photos of the gorgeous flowers, I felt a strong desire to pause time and linger a bit longer. This experience was truly special, and it was just what I had been longing for.

Full blooming cosmos, which resemble daisies but are actually more compact and heavy bloomers, prefer growing in full sun and are among the quickest-growing annuals. (Check out the gallery below for illustrations)

Beautiful flowers, birds, butterflies, and bees flitted around.

The Muangkaen Flower Fields provide a unique backdrop for documenting memoirs (historical narratives) and serve as an excellent location for pre-wedding photography sessions.

All of the photographs that I took while I was here will serve as the most valuable souvenirs that I take with me. Chiang Mai is a city in Thailand that is sure to captivate your heart if you are thinking about taking a trip to that country in the near future. Muangkaen is an essential stop to make if you find yourself in the northern region of Thailand.

Note: I am grateful to you, Papatson, my dear! I miss you… In the following posts, you’ll see more flower fields…
