Chasing Cold Sugarcane Juice in Chinatown

August 7, 2026

It was a scorching day when we found ourselves in Binondo on Ongpin Street. We came across a well-known sugar cane stall and decided to pause for a moment to observe as it had been quite some time since I last enjoyed sugar cane juice. I believe the last occasion was in Greenhills, nearly ten years ago! There are very few stalls that provide fresh sugar cane juice directly from the stalk. This particular stall, Hao Xing Qiang, offers juice extracted from genuine fresh sugarcane stalks that are pressed through a machine. I purchased a sealable plastic tumbler for 120 pesos with calamansi added; without it, the price was only 100 pesos.

This establishment in Chinatown, Hao Xing Qiang is dedicated to serving juice made from authentic fresh sugarcane stalks that are processed using a machine.Sugarcane juice is a cool and refreshing drink, and its gentle balance of sweetness pairs perfectly with calamansi.Unlike bottled drinks that are loaded with preservatives and artificial coloring, this offers a natural flavor that commercial sodas simply can’t replicate. It’s a taste of premium refreshment and a natural way to rehydrate while strolling in the sun. It truly satisfies your thirst on a hot day. Just perfect!
